Excelsior Primary School (PS) is seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated and reliable person to join our friendly team as a Cleaner. The successful applicant must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and strong attention to detail in order to maintain a clean and safe environment.
The successful applicant should be highly motivated, proactive and take pride in being responsible for providing a high standard of cleanliness within the workplace in order to provide a visually pleasing and safe learning environment for our students, staff and visitors to the school. We also require our cleaners to possess a sound knowledge of the use of all cleaning equipment and an understanding of the safety requirements when using products.
As a Cleaner you would carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting, and other items of general cleaning. In addition to this, you would also carry out external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, rubbish removal, cleaning of drinking troughs, removal of cobwebs and other general cleaning duties as required by the Cleaner-In-Charge. Vacation cleaning duties to be completed include shampooing carpets and pressure cleaning of various areas.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
