This is a permanent, full-time position commencing Term 3, 2021

Leeming Senior High School (SHS) is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, innovative, and effective leader to be an integral part of their Leadership team.

We are looking for an individual who can collaborate with the Leeming community to provide the best educational outcomes for our students.

In collaboration with the Principal and the executive team, the Deputy Principal will provide educational leadership in the school and the community by developing and promoting the school’s vision, new business plan (draft copy available on request) and strategic directions across the school community. Responsibilities of the Deputy Principal will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Effective change management, a focus on teaching and learning and building teacher efficacy will be essential in building on existing and establishing new initiatives.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work-related requirements:

  • Capacity to provide effective leadership in a diverse range of educational settings;
  • High level of interpersonal and public relations skills that demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships to achieve planned outcomes;
  • Professional knowledge and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure a high level of educational outcomes for all students (e.g.
  • Aboriginal students, students from diverse ethnic backgrounds and students with special needs).
  • Capacity to manage staff, physical and financial resources.
