Southern Grove Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool for appointments to permanent and fixed-term, full-time, and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2021 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2021 school year.
Southern Grove PS opened in 2019 with students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The school is situated in the fast-growing suburb of Southern River. The staff at Southern Grove PS are welcoming and supportive and work together in a partnership of mutual respect and purpose to improve the learning outcomes of all students.
We have a strong shared vision that provides a well-balanced education, maximising the emotional, social, and academic outcomes for all students. Suitable applicants should have a high level of interpersonal skills to enable them to work collaboratively with staff members to meet the needs of students. They will ideally possess the knowledge and experience of working with students with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties and the ability to support student growth, both academically and socially, within the classroom setting. Suitable applicants will ideally have the knowledge of effective strategies to support students, combined with the ability to be highly organised and use initiative.
The school has a strong focus on excellence in learning. There is an expectation that all staff employed by the school have a focus on pastoral care, students’ well-being and commitment to forming positive working relationships with students and staff.
