Position Information

Evans River Community School (Evans Head) has an enrolment of 560 students K-12, including 20% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, services a community experiencing a high level of socio-economic disadvantage. A committed, cohesive and experienced staff is supported by an active school community. The school is located approximately 30km south of Ballina. Selection Criteria

The specific selection criteria: approval to teach Science Years 7-10, approval to teach Marine Studies/Marine and Aquaculture Technology, approval to teach Chemistry Years 11 and 12. Support the K-12 nature of the school and commitment to contribute to K-12 projects. Understanding of working with students with a low socio-economic background and providing academic programs which cater for diverse needs. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies, skills and/or experiences in sports coaching, skills and/or experiences in Information Communication Technology

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
