Job Description

Ravenshoe State School invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Secondary Agricultural Practices teachers for this temporary full-time position for term two, 2021. Commencing as soon as possible, our preferred applicant will have the skills, knowledge, and/ or experience to deliver the Agricultural Practices curriculum across all years. Applications from the beginning and experienced teachers will be considered for this position.

The Agriculture Department is supported by a full-time Agricultural Assistant.

We are looking for someone to work alongside our Science and Technologies Head of Department to further develop the Agriculture program by aligning it to the Australian Curriculum Technologies syllabus and provide engaging opportunities to students from year 7 to year 12.

The successful applicant will be working as part of our Science and Technology teams and will be responsible for teaching classes in:

  • Year 7-10 Food and Fibre production strand of the Australian
  • Curriculum - Technology syllabus
  • Year 11-12 Agricultural Practices
  • An additional teaching area would be an advantage.
