Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of older people, people with disabilities and their carers? Are you dynamic, flexible and capable of delivering a range of services including Domestic Assistance, Meal Preparation, Shopping, Personal Care and Respite?

Whitehorse City Council is offering committed, caring and positive people the opportunity to join our Home and Community Services team as a Support Worker. These positions play a vital role in supporting Whitehorse’s older residents, their caregivers and people with a disability to live active, engaged and independent lives.

The successful candidates will have the following:

  • Certificate III in Home and Community Care or Aged Care
  • Experience in monitoring and assisting clients with dementia
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with frail older people, people with disabilities and their carers and people from diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrated understanding of safe food handling techniques
  • Excellent Customer Service and good verbal and written communication skills
  • A valid Victorian Drivers licence
  • Permanent access to a roadworthy and insured vehicle
  • Current CPR and First Aid Certificate
