Landsdale Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of Teachers – Early Childhood Education for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

Suitable applicants would be Early childhood teachers with sound knowledge in literacy and numeracy. Collaborative team teachers who can implement play based learning experiences which follow the interest of the children. Sound knowledge of National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework is advantageous. Knowledge of formative assessment, peer coaching and the willingness to collaboratively support peers is desirable.

It is ideal that applicants have the ability to work as part of a team, communicate effectively, implement play based inquiries, follow whole programs and strategies in areas such as numeracy (basic number facts and STAR problem solving) and literacy (Guided Reading, Talk 4 Writing and PLD synthetic phonics)

ELIGIBILITY

Employees will be required to:

  • Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
  • Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
  • Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
  • Be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position.

TRAINING

Employees will be required to:

  • Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
  • Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.

The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
