About the role
Bathurst Regional Council currently has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced person to join the weekend team at Council's Waste Management Centre in the role of Waste Management Centre Operator.
As the Waste Management Centre Operator, you will be responsible for effectively compacting and covering waste material at the tip face using Council's Compactor and Front-End Loader. You will be required to operate items of plant in a manner appropriate to the EPA licence conditions and in accordance with WHS requirements, relevant codes and legislation. You may work across Rural Transfer Stations as well as the Waste Management Centre Transfer Station. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in driving and operating Multi-lift trucks with trailer and skid steer loader.
Key Requirements
This position requires a pre employment health assessment which includes a functional, audio and drug & alcohol screen.
Salary: $317.41 to $333.49 per week + Weekend penalty rates (50% loading for Saturday work & 100% loading for Sunday work) + Adverse working allowance of $14.95 per week + Super
Position Status: Permanent Part Time
Hours of work: 13 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am to 3.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.
