Ballajura Primary School (PS) is seeking an outstanding leader to join our dedicated team.

The successful applicant will be a proactive principal who can continue the school’s innovative and creative approach to fostering academic development and improvements in social and emotional development for students. Ballajura PS is a lead school in the Department of Education’s prestigious WA Centre for Excellence in Explicit Teaching of Literacy.

In partnership with Curtin University and the Department of Education the school staff share their expertise in the teaching of literacy and developing resources so that other educators can learn from their exemplary practices.

Ballajura PS currently has approximately 730 students and is operating at near to full capacity. Four new Early Childhood classrooms were opened in 2020 inclusive of staff planning facilities, new playgrounds and refurbished cubby houses. The process of upgrade and renewal to keep the school at the forefront of providing enhanced learning environments is ongoing with painting, reroofing and air-conditioning in all classrooms, adventure playgrounds and an upgrade of the Administration building including new welcome signage as well as landscaping.

All classrooms had digital technologies with the installation of LED interactive panels, 200 new iPads, and a new colour photocopier. The school board and P&C are actively involved in supporting the school and have contributed significantly to various projects to progress and enhance the school to the benefit of students.
