The Shire of East Pilbara is a well-established Local Government Authority in Western Australia, which services the town sites of Newman, Marble Bar, Nullagine and local communities.
The Shire is offering an exciting opportunity for a proactive and results orientated Manager with a Degree in Engineering with relevant specialisation/majors to take on the role of Manager Waste Services, based in Newman. This is a role that will see you taking a lead role in the overall management of the Shire’s landfill sites in Marble Bar, Nullagine and Newman. You will be responsible for the strategic development, capital works upgrades and operational advice to staff at the waste water treatment plant.
This permanent, full time position requires a person with highly developed engineering capability in relation to waste water treatment and landfill management activities, highly developed project management skills/experience and the ability to provide strategic advice to enable the long term planning and sustainability of the shires waste water treatment plants and landfill sites.
The base salary range is between $129,000 and $145,000 (this salary factors in additional hours calculated at time and a half along with 17.5% leave loading) per annum with the total package exceeding $230,878.00. This position comes with subsidised housing, water and electricity, private use of a motor vehicle with fuel provided, 20% superannuation (subject to employee contribution,) 5 weeks annual leave, annual communications and uniform allowance, parental leave, eligibility for long service leave, annual travel assistance and professional development.
