Role Type: Part-Time Ongoing

Remuneration: $ 64,170 - $ 69,675 + superannuation (dependent on qualification & experience)

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Support Officer to join our Construction & Industrial team at Charleston Rd, Bendigo Campus.

The Role:
Assists in the maintenance of the learning area and works with the subject Teachers and Leading Educators to provide support for practical sessions. The position is engaged in a variety of quality assurance activities, which include design audits for and maintenance of hardware related to services provided by the assigned learning area.

This role has a strong focus of support to all staff engaged in teaching (or otherwise assisting) students undertaking the courses offered within BKI and will directly be responsible for implementing technical aspects of testing and procedural matters relating to the learning area.

Required Qualifications:

  • Trade experience in relevant discipline.
  • Extensive experience in preparation of classroom practicals, manufacture of teaching aids and maintenance of equipment.
  • Forklift licence
  • Demonstrated understanding of WHS regulations and principles as they relate to a workshop/simulated workplace environment servicing a wide range of users.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (WWC) Assessment Notice and/or WWC card
  • Police Check
  • Evidence of eligibility to work in Australia
