Position Information

Tullamore Central School is a 6 point school and attracts the Rural Incentive Package from the NSW Department of Education. Tullamore Central School is located in the in the Parkes Shire, 125km south–west of Dubbo,catering for students from Kindergarten through to Year 12. Our current enrolment is 60 students with 7% identified as Aboriginal, including 38 Primary and 22 Secondary students. Tullamore Central School school embraces Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) and has a supportive and involved school community including P&C and AECG.

Tullamore Central School staff are a mix of experienced and early career teachers who are committed to delivering innovative educational experiences. Staff are encouraged and supported with accessing and engaging with professional learning which is targeted at improving teaching practice, school growth and student achievement.

Tullamore Central School offers a wide range of extracurricular opportunities which enhance and extend the robust academic curriculum delivered on site and remotely through the Western Access Program. Staff actively provide opportunities for students beyond their community in educational, vocational and sporting areas.

The TAS Teacher develops and delivers high quality learning experiences for a diverse range of abilities. This includes the design of differentiated programs and assessment, in line with the schools procedures. The teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering quality teaching and learning experiences to engage all students, assess and report on learning to students and parents in line with school procedures; and will work positively as part of a dynamic and busy faculty and wider school community.

Selection Criteria

  • Approval to teach Industrial Technology - Timber and Technology Mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver quality learning experiences to all students in a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a busy and diverse faculty to support student learning.
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department’s Aboriginal Education policies.
