Job Description

Permanent Role (equivalent 4 days/week)

The Mount Barker District Council is an exciting place to work and live.

Situated just 25 minutes from the Adelaide CBD, our Council serves a diverse and progressive community with a population of over 30,000. Projected to reach 60,000 over the next 25 years, we are one of Australia’s fastest growing areas.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing professional assistance and administrative support to both the Community Services Department and across Council.

Whilst the substantive elements of this role support the Community Services Department, there is opportunity to expand your influence and develop your skills across all council administrative functions. Therefore, a team-based approach will be critical to your success in this role, along with a mindset that fosters continuous improvement and the confidence to deal with a constantly evolving environment. Out of hours work may be required.

You should bring to the role your demonstrated experience in administrative and research support services and the ability to provide quality customer service.

Commencement salary is $71,728 (pro rata for part time hours) per annum plus Superannuation.
