The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Communication, Events and Services Manager, this role is responsible for coordination of marketing activities across a number of sectors including corporate, tourism and events. The role will be responsible for enhancing Council’s public profile as well as increasing engagement with the community by providing high quality communications and engagement strategies to promote Council’s services, activities and recognise achievements.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable marketing professional experienced in developing and coordinating corporate marketing strategies; leading and directing a small team; and focused on achieving key outcomes.

The successful applicant will have capacity to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.

You must have:

• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing programs and communication and engagement strategies and campaigns
• Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver multiple projects on time and within budget
• Demonstrated use of emerging technologies i.e. photography, video and design and their implementation in marketing and media campaigns
• Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity, providing direction and motivating a small team
• Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated experience in managing the production of marketing and communication materials
