What we are looking for:

Do you have Civil Construction experience in local government infrastructure? Plus have an excellent eye for detail, and the ability to multitask with a high level of accuracy? An opportunity exists for the right person to join our Contracts team, responsible for effective project management within the Capital Delivery section.

This position also provides a support role, reviewing and developing works programs, contract procedures and strategies.

Preparing tender and contract documentation for allocated projects in the Capital Works Program, undertaking the role of Superintendent’s Representative for the delivery of allocated projects, supervising engineering survey contracts and providing specialist input to the design process are just a few of the tasks the successful applicant can expect to action.

What you should have to apply:

  • Formal qualifications in relevant field (minimum AQF level 5 or above) and/or significant experience, expertise and competence in a similar position.
  • Construction Industry Induction (White) Card
  • Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence

What’s nice to have:

  • Previous Civil Construction experience, preferably in a local government infrastructure
  • Project Management, Contract Management & Contractor supervision experience are all highly desirable
  • A good working knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
