Permanent / Full time
Location – Whitsunday Coast Airport
Level 6 - $58,263 per annum (+ applicable overtime)

The Whitsunday Regional Council is situated at the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. The region encompasses the 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands, the coastal towns of Cannonvale, Airlie Beach, Jubilee Pocket, Shute Harbour and Bowen along with the rural towns of Proserpine and Collinsville. The Role
An exciting opportunity exists at the Whitsunday Coast Airport for an Airport Reporting Officer. As the Airport Reporting Officer, you will be responsible for the inspection, monitoring, reporting and general maintenance of aeronautical safety and security facilities at the Whitsunday Coast Airport while providing quality customer service when liaising with a wide variety of clientele.


  • Class C Manual Drivers Licence
  • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant discipline
  • Tractor Operator Licence
  • Aviation Security Identification Card
  • Safety/Reporting Officer Certificate (CASA)
  • Aerodrome Reporting Officer Certificate (CASA)
  • Aerodrome Works Safety Officer Certificate (CASA)


  • First Aid Certificate
  • Current Airport Reporting Officer’s Certificate or recognised industry equivalent and four years airport operations experience in a similar role
  • Supervisory skills and experience
  • Radio Telephone Operator Proficiency Licence and appropriate experience
  • QLD Firearm Licence and experience in safe management of firearms
