An opportunity exists for self-motivated, enthusiastic, team focused individuals to join our Casual Pool for Plant Operators/General Hand. The position is responsible for operating and maintaining trucks and other plant and machinery items to assist in the completion of road maintenance and construction projects. The roles will also be required to regularly perform a range of laboring duties associated with road maintenance functions including pothole repairs, signage maintenance and general maintenance of roads, roadsides, footpaths, kerbs, drainage, bridge structures and other assets.

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate

  • Experience and skills in civil infrastructure related works such as plant operation, road construction and maintenance
  • Commitment to organisational values and associated behaviours
  • ‘HR’ class driver’s licence
  • High work ethic, with the commitment to maintaining set standards
  • Hold a Blue or White card (general construction induction card)

A total salary package will be negotiated dependent on qualifications, skills and experience. The salary package includes working a nine day fortnight with an hourly rate of $30.47 (including casual loading), plus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply), performance allowance and industry allowance. PPE is provided upon commencement, and in-house training may also be provided when required.
