Are you a passionate and inspired teacher who would love to become a member of a committed team of dynamic educators in an Independent Public School that values innovation, teamwork and exemplary teaching and learning practices?

Dianella Primary College (PC) is seeking to establish a pool of motivated and enthusiastic Teachers – Middle to Upper Primary – Years 3 to 6 for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year.

Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

As Primary Teacher for Years 3 to 6 you will ideally have effective classroom management skills, the ability to develop rapport and motivate students, and differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs.

Practising and modelling a range of teaching strategies are key aspects of this position.

Dianella PC staff work collaboratively together in year groups to support student needs, with a dedicated focus on connecting the curriculum across learning areas to provide for and embed cross-curricular and general capabilities.

As a school we actively promote and develop understanding and awareness of sustainability, along with the develop of STEM skills and capacity.

Dianella PC has a very diverse school population with students from an English as an Additional Language/Dialect (EALD) background making up around 80% of our school population.

Applicants that have experience working with EALD and Aboriginal students will be highly regarded.

Dianella PC is situated on site with the Dianella Secondary College and Secondary College Education Support Centre, where students are provided with various opportunities to access these facilities.

Students are provided with a range of opportunities to develop their skills with specialist science, art and music classes.

DPC actively seeks opportunities to engage our wider school community in the learning process and applicants that demonstrate capacity in this area will be highly regarded.

The school is well equipped with technology and we actively utilise our community garden and green learning spaces to engage students in their learning.

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):

  • Professional practice; and
  • Professional engagement.
