Bluff is a rural town on the Capricorn Highway, 150km west of Rockhampton and 25 km east of Blackwater. The town was originally known as Duckworth Creek but changed names after the creation of the Great Western Railway. As coal mining grew in the Blackwater region so did the infrastructure in Bluff; the town now has a general store, hotel, motel, racecourse and recreation reserve. Bluff is perfectly located for easy access to the stunning Blackdown Tablelands National Park. Spend the day or settle in for a camping trip while you enjoy the array of walking tracks, wildlife, waterfalls and picturesque views that his magical location has to offer.
