The Senior Governance Advisor works closely with the Manager Governance to lead the governance team to deliver a contemporary and highly effective governance service implementing and promoting accountability, efficiency, transparency and compliance throughout the organisation.
The ideal candidate is someone who has strong stakeholder management skills, a calm disposition and has a good eye for details as well as an interest in supporting policy outcomes that effect our local community. Your ability to interpret and apply Acts and other legislation to provide sound/practical advice is key, as are your high level of written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in a similar role within Local Government will ensure you are able to hit the ground running in this position to meet key timeframes.
