Are you an exemplary Teacher looking to make a positive difference in your local community?

North Kalgoorlie Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year.

Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year.

We are seeking applicants who are committed to ongoing professional growth and development, support current whole school processes and are collegial, effective collaborators.

Applicants with exemplary interpersonal acumen who forge and maintain positive, productive and trusting relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community are encouraged to apply.

At North Kalgoorlie PS, our staff, students and community work together to support each other. The capacity to work collaboratively to implement our vision and beliefs is highly desirable, as is a philosophical approach that is inclusive of the expectations of Positive Behaviour Support.

Effective integration of Information Communication Technology (ICT) across the curriculum and when planning is also desirable.

Whole school approaches are implemented with the understanding that they contribute to a reduction in cognitive overload. These approaches include, but may not be limited to, Talk for Writing, Brightpath, PLD and Science of Reading.

North Kalgoorlie PS is located in the suburb of Lamington. Lamington is one of Kalgoorlie's oldest and finest suburbs. The school first opened in 1902 and boasts a tradition and spirit that brings all ex and current North Kalers together as one.

North Kalgoorlie PS is a very proud school and we are committed to providing a learning environment that is inclusive, motivational, supportive, caring and engaging for every student. We have Pastoral Care as a priority and inclusivity is a large part of this.

Currently we run a number of programs across the school supporting our focus of developing a safe, healthy, enjoyable learning environment. We are continuing to explore how we are inclusive of our students' learning styles, needs, culture, interests and best meeting the needs of our students.
