The Opportunity
TAFE NSW is looking for qualified, experienced individuals who wish to be considered for Part-Time Casual Teaching opportunities in Business Administration/Business as they arise.

You will be part of an engaged dispersed team who are experts in their discipline and who collaborate to achieve business outcomes.

The TAFE NSW campuses where opportunities are available are: Kingscliff, Wollongbar, Ballina, Lismore and Casino and you will be required to teach day and night and virtual classes.

About You
You are vibrant, motivating and engaging in your teaching style with the willingness to share your knowledge and experience. You have the ability to think on your feet and respond to student enquires with confidence and conviction. You are able to communicate with your peers, students and industry stakeholders ensuring that information is accurate, current and relevant.

The role of the TAFE teacher as a professional educator is to help, construct, guide and enhance the educative process. The teacher delivers educational programs and facilitates learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Diploma or higher in Business, or Business Administration.
  • You must also hold or be prepared to obtain Certificate III or Certificate IV in Business Administration.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience post qualification in one or more of the above fields gained in the workplace within the last 5 years.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or equivalent.
  • Be prepared to continue to develop their Vocational Education and Training (VET) knowledge and skills as well as their industry currency and trainer/assessor competence.
  • High level written and oral communication skills in English and Proven ability to communicate effectively in a wide range of educational, industrial or community environments
  • Experience in using MS Teams or similar online platform to facilitate connected delivery would be advantageous.
