The position is responsible for the assessment of various applications within the Operational Works team with a focus on Tidal Works/Coastal Works applications (Jetties / Pontoons / Bridges etc). The role will require a strong understanding of tidal works legislation in addition to engineering standards. As a result, applicants with a planning background who possesses an interest in engineering will also be considered.
In addition to tidal works applications, the position may also be required to assist with the assessment of various Operational Works applicaitons as necessary. The role will also be responsible for providing advice to other staff and external customers on various matters relevant to assessment.

Essential: Do you possess a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Town Planning or equivalent knowledge?
Essential: Demonstrate how you have been able to work within a multidisciplinary team and effectively communicate and resolve complex issues that go across multiple disciplines.
Essential: Detail your project management skills with the ability to co-ordinate and manage projects and resources effectively to achieve work goals to meet planned targets, deadlines and commitments.
Essential: Provide details of your experience with the assessment or preparation of development applications or your ability to quickly learn engineering standards and associated legislation.
Desirable: Do you hold a white card?
Essential: Do you hold a current drivers licence?
