This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the TAFE Digital Primary Industries - Agriculture team.

As an Education Support Officer within the Agriculture teaching section, you will be responsible for a range of project management and student assistance activities, which directly and indirectly supports learning and enhances the educative process.

Reporting to the Head Teacher, this position:

  • Provides personalised support to students to successfully carry out tasks and understand their learning materials and concepts
  • Works in conjunction with Teachers, learning support staff and other roles as part of a specialised delivery team.
  • When required, provides tutoring support and feedback by face-to-face contact, email, online or by other mode using a range of media options.

If you have…

  • Appropriate subject knowledge, skills and vocational qualifications in the relevant discipline and a commitment to maintain technical currency, demonstrated by:
    • Certificate II, III or Diploma in Agriculture; or equivalent skills and knowledge of the industry
    • 3 – 5 years relevant Agriculture industry experience
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team
  • Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students
  • Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
