The Role
The key focus of this role is to ensure continuous improvement for future disasters and emergencies by undertaking a critical review of the response and recovery efforts of the recent natural disaster events of the 19/20 bushfires, February flood and COVID-19 pandemic; and document and implement the learnings for the next event.
You will map community networks and identify opportunities to build local capacity and capability for disaster resilience within the community; particularly for high risk and vulnerable population groups.
About you
An opportunity for a committed individual to develop and implement the Local Recovery Plan. Your expertise will include leadership, community development, understanding of the principles for building community resilience and recovery. You must also have the ability to build strong partnerships within the organisation, across agencies and in the community.
