Maintenance Coordinator (Civil & Horticulture) x1

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will implement and drive the maintenance programs of assets such as parks, reserves, street trees, vegetation sites (including natural heritage & remnant) roads, footpaths, and bridges that Council is responsible for. Your high-level technical expertise will be required to deliver projects and provide advice to Council, its relevant committees, internal departments, external organisations and the community on horticultural and civil maintenance issues relevant to the role.

To be successful for this role you will require:

• Formal qualifications in one or more disciplines such as Horticulture, Civil Construction, Engineering, Management or Project Management.;
• Broad experience in the planning and allocation of resources, including labour, plant, and machinery to reach the Infrastructure & Environment program objectives.
• A working knowledge of current legislation, regulations and standards relevant to the position;
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities;
• The ability to provide technical expertise, reports and advice to Council, its relevant committees, internal departments, external organisations and the community on issues relevant to the role.
• Ability to problem solve, make appropriate decisions, good work ethics, including the ability to work co-operatively with the Manager, staff and the general public.
• The ability to deliver operational and strategic plans and programs relevant to the function and within budget and resource allocations.
