CLASSIFICATION Municipal Worker

SHORT DESCRIPTION
To be an effective team member in Council’s Operations section when undertaking Council’s maintenance activities in an efficient, productive and safe manner. The incumbent is required to operate plant and machinery whilst undertaking maintenance, parks and gardens activities within areas under the care, control and management of Council.

HOURS 76 hour fortnight (some out of hours work may required).

STATUS
Permanent full time

APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
The successful applicant must have proven ability to work in a team environment with experience in operating and maintaining plant and equipment. A HR Truck licence is a minimum requirement for this role.

SALARY
Level 5 – starting at $59,347.35 p.a. plus statutory superannuation. (In accordance with the Yorke Peninsula Council Local Government Employees Enterprise Agreement No 5, 2019.)

PROBATION PERIOD
13 weeks.

LOCATION
Minlaton Depot, however appointment is to the Council, therefore the successful applicant may be required to undertake duties at other locations.
