Job Description

Applications are invited for a self-motivated and innovative Principal to join the team at Waterford State School on a temporary, full-time basis. In this role, you will play a vital role in delivering the vision of State Schools Division. The leadership of principals is critical to improving the educational outcomes of students. The successful applicant will have a major influence on developing the quality of teaching and learning and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers and stakeholders. In addition to the primary role of leading the school and its operations, you are expected to take a leadership role in the broader education and corporate arenas.

About the school

Since opening in 1869, Waterford State School is a co-educational State Government school located in the Logan area, servicing the communities of Bethania and Waterford. Our school which offers classes from the Preparatory Year to Year 6 and programs for younger children in the Early Childhood Development Program. The majority of students come from urban dwellings with a small number coming from rural properties. A school with a long and cherished history, Waterford has dedicated staff and many features that provide for quality learning.

Your role

As the Principal you will have responsibility for the following:

A mandatory requirement of this role is:
