We are seeking a talented Analytics Specialist who is looking to take on some of the most complex and interesting business problems! Joining a team which supports and actively encourages your growth and personal development, you will gain real world experience in some of the latest technology solutions and products.  

Joining our Business Intelligence & Reporting team, the Analytics Specialist is responsible for developing optimum analysis, data modelling and reporting capability over a range of topics to their customers. Familiar with big data and complex data issues the Analytics Specialist will leverage recently implemented cloud based software to further identify meaningful insights for TAFE NSW.

This position offers a base salary range of $112,310 - $123,968 p.a plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.

You are self-driven, curious and care deeply about the customers you serve. You have demonstrated experience in applying data analysis technologies and tools including Power BI, Azure Analysis Services and Synapse Analysis to predictive analysis and data modelling.  

You are experienced in big data, have excellent analytical skills and a data driven approach to develop data models that optimise business efficiency while operating within a maturing and evolving environment. You not only have the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, but can demonstrate your prioritisation and execution of key deliverables. 

The successful candidate will be a team player, have a detail and project-oriented mindset, a willingness to challenge and make suggestions and has the flexibility to adapt to client feedback.  


  • Excellent data visualisation skills 

  • Experience in using Microsoft Azure technologies 

  • Experience in using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (ML/AI) technologies 

  • Ability to explain complex analytical concepts to customers to inform business decisions
