Your duties will include: 

  • Coordinate the day to day operations of Council’s Strategic Planning Team
  • Research, develop and implement effective and innovative strategies, policies and guidelines that will help deliver the new Council Plan together with the specific objectives of this key position.
  • Refine and improve the Alpine Shire Planning Scheme through developing effective monitoring and reporting mechanisms and procedures including developing effective improvements to local planning policy, guidelines and objectives.
  • Provision of strategic planning advice to applicants, objectors, residents, Councillors and staff.

With your commitment to delivery and excellent communication skills, you will be able to develop positive relationships that result in better outcomes. As an industry professional, you will have a good working knowledge of the applicable legislation and an understanding of enforcement and prosecution procedures. 

  • Qualifications in town planning or a related discipline
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Full Drivers licence
  • An energetic and engaging personality
