Senior Data Steward (fixed term until 30/06/2023) An exciting opportunity to join Child Link. Child Link is an innovative system within government which has been built on best-in-class technology, incorporating a Master Data Management (MDM) platform and cloud-based services. Child Link creates child profiles that show education and wellbeing service engagement for Victorian children using data across several service source systems. The technology solution is configured with business rules which are essential to the function of ChildLink, along with accompanying operational processes and procedures in order to ensure the child profiles are managed in accordance with the legislation.

Senior Data Steward (Fixed Term/Full-Time until 30/06/2023)

Key accountabilities for this role include: 
  • Define the data and identify assets within their own data domains.
  • Create processes and procedures along with access controls to monitor adherence. This includes establishing
    internal policies and standards—and enforcing those policies.
  • Maintain quality of the data using customer feedback, concerns, questions; internally reporting metrics;
    evaluating and identifying issues; and coordinating and implementing corrections regularly.
  • Optimize workflows and communications.
  • Monitor data usage to assist teams, share best practice trends in data use, and provide insight into how and
    where teams can use data to help in day-to-day decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance and security of the data, translate regulatory rules into data polices, rules, and standards.
  • Supporting the Testing and Assurance Team and Product Team with data analysis activities.
  • Continuous improvement on data validation, business rules and matching logic.
