About the Role

Based at the Carinya Aged Care Facility, you will be responsible for ensuring quality & compliance gaps in current practices are addressed to ultimately ensure the delivery of quality and safe care and services to the faciity's residents.

Reporting to the Clinical Coordinator, you will:

  • Guide staff to deliver care to consumers ensuring all consumers are treated with dignity and respect, can maintain their identity, make informed choices about their care and services and live the life they choose;
  • Educate current clinical and care staff in relation to industry expectations, compliance and quality indicators concerning current personal and clinical care practices;
  • Work with the Coordinator to improve service quality ensuring currency and clinical accuracy across the Facility, deliver and maintain quality standards, processes and procedures; and
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and changes to drive best practice and compliance.

About you

To be a successful applicant, you will have:

  • Significant proven experience in working and educating in high-risk areas, for example, medication, wounds, restraint, Dementia, quality personal and clinical care;
  • Experience in working within the Quality Assurance Frameworks to drive continuous improvement;
  • Knowledge and understanding of Aged Care standards and measures to demonstrate compliance;
  • Ability to step up in a leadership role when required; and
  • Current AHPRA registration, a Yellow Card issued by the NDIS and Influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.
