Maroondah City Council has an exciting opportunity for a student working towards their Civil Engineering degree to join its Traffic Engineering team for a 12 month work placement.
The successful candidate will be mentored and trained on traffic engineering fundamentals, as well as exposure to other engineering disciplines and professional development opportunities.
You will be responsible for undertaking traffic and transportation investigations, assessment of permit applications, providing advice on town planning applications and assist the Team Leader Traffic and Transportation Engineering in support of Council’s overall objective, priorities and service standards.
The position also offers the experience required to graduate for courses that have an industry based learning hurdle requirement, however, you will need to undertake your own enquiries to confirm the exact requirements with your tertiary institution.
