Our aquatic facilities offer something for everyone: learn to swim programs; swimming school programs and carnivals; squad swimming; diving program and pool; and a fitness centre and active and healthy aqua classes too.
We’re Hiring!
We’re seeking energetic and enthusiastic Learn to Swim Instructors to join our team providing swimming lessons to students across our Gold Coast community.
Our Swim Schools host a variety of local schools for lessons, alongside running our regular Learn to Swim and Squad classes. We have casual positions available at Gold Coast Aquatic Centre, Pimpama Aquatic Centre and at Palm Beach Aquatic Centre until its closure in April 2022.
You'll bring to the role a genuine passion for the successful progression of students within the learn to swim program, ensuring our students are instructed at the highest level. Experience as a Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics is highly desirable.
These positions are casual however may lead to ongoing employment for suitable candidates, across our venues. You'll be rostered to work 2-3 hour shifts across the aquatic centre's operating hours, including early mornings and late afternoons. Your flexibility and availability across the week, as well as the ability to work Saturdays, will be highly regarded.

As part of our selection process, you will be required to undertake police checks, employment history checks, qualification checks, a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Australian Standards and Council's procedures.

Essential: Do you hold a current Statement of Attainment Swimming and Water Safety Teacher (SISSS00112) from AUSTSWIM, ASCTA or Royal Life Saving Australia? Essential: Do you hold a current statement of attainment in Provide First Aid (HLTAID003 or HLTAID011) and Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001 or HLTAID009)? Essential: Do you possess a valid Queensland Working with Children Blue Card or if not, are willing to obtain one prior to commencing if successful? (Please note under new laws, No Card, No Start.) Essential: Tell us about your experience conducting swimming lessons as part of a Learn to Swim program and why you believe you are the most suitable person for the position. |
