Position Objectives

The officer will be responsible for:

• Coordination of functions relevant to the development and delivery of major and significant projects.
• Provision of high level contract and project management support and advice to major and significant projects for Council.
• Ensuring project deliverables are fit for purpose, and to the agreed quality in accordance with the relevant contractual agreements, including management of Council risks.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

• Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field or extensive relevant experience.
• Extensive administrative and project management/contract management experience in a senior position.
• A comprehensive understanding of and ability to interpret project and contract management principles.
• A comprehensive understanding of and ability to interpret business cases and feasibility studies.
• Ability to communicate confidently with staff at all levels.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in budget planning, financial control, project planning and monitoring.
• Current Driver’s Licence

Salary and Conditions

The position is classified within Band 7 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $94,658.72 per annum plus statutory superannuation.
