In this role, you will be required to operate as the Councils:

  • Public Interest Disclosures (PID) Coordinator - ensuring compliance by Council in implementation of the PID Framework

About You

To be considered for this position you will need significant experience in the research, interpretation and application of policies, processes and legislation, with a demonstrated history of providing effective and accurate advice to a wide variety of stakeholders. Local government experience would be an advantage, though this is not essential.

A personable and effective communicator, you will be able to explain systems, processes and requirements in a way that's engaging and easy to understand. Confident working with staff across all levels, you'll need to be able to follow up issues and arrange training to ensure compliance with any relevant legislation, from Directors to Ground Crew members.

You will exhibit strong initiative, be comfortable working autonomously and have exceptional attention to detail. It's crucial that you're a strong negotiator, well-versed in conflict resolution and able to remain 'firm but fair', ensuring things are done correctly despite potentially divergent views.

Qualifications in Business Administration, Risk Management, Law or equivalent would be highly regarded, however applicants who do not hold this qualification may be considered. A lower salary may be applicable in such instance, in line with the provisions of Council’s Salary System.

Please Note: A current, manual 'C' Class Driver's License is a requirement of this position.

You will also have access to a range of additional benefits including salary sacrificing options, uniform allowance and a 3-weekly RDO.
