Position title: Project Engineer (Operations) - Transport
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career. In this position you will work on challenging projects that will make a real difference for the community and provide you with invaluable experience and professional development.
This position is responsible for:
The delivery of projects for Council’s Capital Works Program (which may also include maintenance programs and natural disaster assistance)
Starting with the agreed Project Charter, this position is involved with the project through initiation, planning, execution and close out phases
Liaising with the Project Delivery team within the Project & Engineering department to ensure projects run in a smooth manner and agreed outcomes are met.

have construction management experience or demonstrated experience in managing various transport infrastructure projects concurrently
are highly motivated and
have excellent communication and interpersonal skills that include the ability to support and coordinate multi discipline groups. . .

Permanent, Full Time working 35 hours per week
Commencing salary will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant with a range of circa $83,000 to $99,000 p.a plus superannuation
A leaseback vehicle is also be available with this position.
This position will be based at either our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree or one of our Works Depots at Taree or Gloucester. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
