Band 4 - $65,132 – $69,956.72 (+10% super, superannuation, RDO & industry allowance)

Position No: 469553

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the Irrigation maintenance team. 

The ideal candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience in irrigation management and be able to schedule and undertake routine maintenance, repairs, inspections and testing of irrigation assets (including irrigation systems, controllers, pumps, drinking fountains) within councils open spaces and preparing reports as required. The candidate will also be:

  • Proficient in the safe operation and maintenance of light /heavy machinery and equipment.
  • Provide guidance, supervision and on-the job training to supervised employees in relation to safe operation of mac
    hinery and occupational safety practices.
  • Undertake irrigation efficiency audits and compile the results.
  • Organizing and supervising contractors to undertake irrigation repairs.
  • Oversee compliance of legal requirements and procedures in the completion of various jobs.

We are looking for someone with a Certificate III in Irrigation (mandatory) with a broad technical knowledge in this field working preferably with local government or similar large scale organisation. Certificate IV in Irrigation management is highly desirable. 

The applicant will need a Victorian Driver’s License preferably with medium rigid truck endorsement and Registration with the Victorian Building Authority – Plumbing and Excavator Operator Competency course.
