We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced treatment plant operator or someone who has practical experience operating an industrial process. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the community by assisting in the operation of the treatment plants and associated reservoirs, booster station and sewer pumping stations to ensure that best quality drinking water is supplied and effluent meets the requirements of applicable legislation.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO
Assist in the operation and maintenance of Council’s Water and Sewerage Treatment Plants and undertake routine standard operation of Council’s Water and Sewerage treatment facilities including testing of water and effluent quality.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
Certificate III in Water Operations (Treatment) or ability to obtain within 2 years of employment in the position.
Demonstrated experience working in the water industry in particular treating water and sewerage.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
Experience in the operation of supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)/telemetry).
You will have hands on experience working and operating with industrial processes and will have experience in the operation of supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA/telemetry). You will value the opportunity to work in a diverse multi-functional regional Council.You have excellent communication skills and are a team player who continually looks for positive ways to contribute to team culture. You will have a commitment to on-going learning and will take on the challenge of obtaining a Certificate III in Water Operations (if required) within 2 years of employment.

Salary: $59,655-$69,329 per annum plus superannuation.
