Who is the City of Port Phillip?

About your new role… 

As a member of The City of Port Philip’s Independent Living Team you WILL make a difference. 

You will lead a team of dedicated workers to deliver in-home and community services to aged and other residents of Port Phillip, with a focus on supporting independence and well-being. This role operates under State and National Standards and Guidelines for service delivery.

Your contribution will ensure older adults and people who need assistance to live independently are able to maintain their independence at home and in the community.

Your enthusiasm, passion and commitment to providing high quality client-focussed in-home support will help clients feel respected and encouraged to make choices about their services.

  • You will be an active leader of people
  • You will be excited to collaborate across the Independent Living Team, Council and the broader service network
  • Your well-supported team will be empowered to provide consumer-directed care to older people, people who need assistance to live independently and their families and carers.
  • Clients receiving services will be engaged and confident in the care they receive from your team

The things we really need from the person in this role: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in the behavioural sciences or a health-related discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Kindness, care and great communication skills
  • Sound, practical understanding of client-focussed service delivery

  • Current Working with Children's Check Card
  • Police check
  • Victorian Drivers Licence and VicRoads licence verification
