About the Position

A Business Development Officer provides business planning and administration support to the Development and Place team, including assisting the Principal of Strategic Planning and Place with budgeting, financials and land administration matters. Part of this includes the compilation of professional correspondence and reports with a high level of attention to detail. Contributing  to the implementation of the continuous development of process and procedures for the branch and processing heritage grant applications and land administration matters (such as ROW closures, road closures and street naming), including preparing Council reports. Although not essential, Tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or extensive experience relevant to the requirements of the position are desirable.

About You  

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the City’s Development and Place team for this permanent opportunity. This position is full-time and based at our Civic Centre. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn new skills, and can demonstrate their high level of administrative and research support.

To be successful in this role you will be able to work cooperatively and effectively with others in the team and demonstrate positive and inclusive behaviours in line with our values. This position works in a fast-paced environment so we need someone who can manage the high volume workload whilst maintaining their attention to detail. A current WA C or A class driving license and completion of secondary education (Year 12) or relevant TAFE qualification are required.
