The City of Perth is an ambitious Local Government. We are constantly creating opportunities to bring our state’s capital city to life.

We are seeking three (3) Civil Maintenance Workers to join our Infrastructure and Assets team.  A Civil Maintenance Worker is responsible for, but not limited to, construction and maintenance services to roads, footpaths and drainage systems.

Reporting to the Team Leader Maintenance, this position will support the City by:

  • Maintaining footpaths, roads, cycleways, retaining walls and drainage systems which will include the lifting and relaying of pavers and precast kerbs, temporary asphalt patching, minor retaining wall repairs as well as maintenance to the city’s drainage network
  • Interpreting works through GIS applications such as Workforce
  • Concreting work which will involve exposed aggregate finishes

The ideal candidate will have experience in road and drainage construction with slab and kerb laying skills. Extensive MR truck driving experience and general plant operation within the construction industry is essential.

You will possess well-developed time management and communications skills along with demonstrated knowledge of occupational health and safety issues in terms of personal responsibility and public safety.
