The Opportunity

Working as part of the Student Services Team, the Teacher/Consultant for Students with Disabilities will be responsible for establishing reasonable adjustment education plans and coordinating specialist teaching and non-teaching support services for students with disabilities, specialising in Psychiatric Disabilities.

You will assess the educational needs of students with disabilities enrolling in TAFE courses and ensure that appropriate educational and access needs are met.  You will co-ordinate the design or modification of courses, including special education programs, individual tutorial assistance and educational interventions.

You will ensure that educational services provided to students with disabilities within TAFENSW are aligned with current government policies and legislation, both at state and federal level.

Having a Post Graduate Qualification in Special Education, you will have experience within the disability sector and enjoy working in a busy educational environment that supports and advocates for students.
