About the Opportunity

Known for our success in obtaining grant funding, join the Grants Team and help fund community services and infrastructure in a progressive regional shire.

The Grants Officer role is responsible for sourcing and facilitating successful funding and grant applications for the provision of Council services and local community projects. In achieving successful funding and grant applications, this role will strengthen and promote the Parkes Shire economy and enhance the capacity of local communities both socially and economically through the ability to provide quality services and infrastructure to residents.

The part time hours for this position is for 28 hours per week.

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this position you will need to have:

  • Diploma qualifications in relevant discipline or equivalent experience in a relevant field
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience, preferably in a similar role
  • Working with Children's Check

Other details relating to this position are:

  • The Grade applicable to the position is Grade 13, for a 28 hour week within Council's salary structure.
  • The salary ranges from $1,114 to $1,282 per week (based on a 28 hour week). Salary to be determined dependent upon qualifications and experience of successful applicant
  • Employer Superannuation of 9.5% applies
  • Employment is under the Local Government (State) Award 2020
