Are you looking for a Customer Service role with an organisation focused on career progression? We are seeking applications from motivated individuals to become part of a Recruitment Pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur within the Shire.
You will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the Shire by providing a confidential, high standard of customer and administration services. Based at the Reception area, as the first point of contact for incoming calls and front counter enquiries, you will follow established customer service, administration processes and procedures within the section, as well as assisting with records management, facilities and ranger administration support, ensuring a high standard of service delivery, strict confidentiality and workplace professionalism; accountable to the Shire’s Values of Honesty, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, Teamwork and Leadership).

The Shire of East Pilbara is one of the four local government areas in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, and with an area close to 380,000 square kilometres (147,000 sq mi), is the third largest municipality in the world, after two new municipalities in Greenland (Avannaata and Sermersooq, with each around 650,000 km). The municipality is bigger than many countries, for example Finland and is comparable to Japan. The Shire's seat of government, and home to nearly half the Shire's population, is the town of Newman in the shire's south-west.
