About the role

The City Development Directorate currently has two positions available in its Environmental Services Section. These positions are fixed-term full time for a 2 year placement at the Nowra Administration Building. This role is 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9.00am to 5.00pm)

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

Duties

Reporting directly to the Coastal Coordinator, the focus of this position is to:

  • Oversee management of Coast & Estuary Grants
  • Work as part of a team to meet project milestones as well as deadlines associated with the Shoalhaven coastal management program for the open coasts in accordance with the NSW Coastal Management Act 2016
  • Support, manage and coordinate operations associated with delivering actions within the Coastal Zone Management Plan 2018
  • Prioritises workloads, timeframes and milestones for the Unit that support the Shoalhaven Coastal Zone Management Plan 2018 and aligns operational activities accordingly.

Skills & Experience

In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in coastal management, environmental science, environmental engineering or relevant discipline
  • Class C Driver’s Licence
