Childcare Assistant – Creche 
Casual
EA Level 1 Aged 16-20 & Adult
($22.9954 - $32.2108 per hour including 25% casual loading)

Do you enjoy looking after under school aged kids and would you like to learn about a career in Childcare?  Margaret River Recreation Centre Outside School Hours Care (Kids Club) is currently seeking energetic and passionate Childcare Assistants to join the Creche team to help cover peak times such the holiday season.  

You will be providing assistance in the supervision of under school age children in a safe, hygienic and caring environment, enabling their parents and carers to engage in the Centre’s recreation program.  You will need good communication & teamworking skills; and a current senior first aid certificate.  A current National Police Clearance and Working with Children registration are also essential.  This role will require availability to work predominantly 8:45am – 12:00 Monday to Friday during the school holidays.  There will also be times when you may be called upon for after school and vacation care shifts such as 3:30 – 6:00pm during the school term, and 8:00am – 5:30pm during the school holidays.

Childcare Assistant Educator (ACECQA Qualified)
Level 2 $52,955 - $59,635 pa

Working with the Childcare Supervisor and Childcare Educators, you will follow childcare program guidelines and supervise children.  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

• Current or effectively working towards Child Care Qualification i.e. Cert III Childcare or equivalent ACECQA approved.
• Child Protection qualification ACECQA approved.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting and assisting with childcare program delivery.
• Certifications including Federal Police Clearance (current) and Working With Children Check.

Childcare Educator (ACECQA Qualified)
Level 3-4 $59,419 - $70,883 pa 

Reporting to the Childcare Supervisor, you will oversee the childcare assistant educators in conducting organised activities for Vacation, Before and After School Care and Creche.  You will also supervise children participating in these programs.  The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

• Child Care Qualification i.e. Diploma of Children’s Services, Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent ACECQA approved.
• Child Protection qualification ACECQA approved.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting, leading and assisting with childcare program delivery; and working knowledge of My Time Our Place framework.
• Ability lead a small team.
• Certifications including Federal Police Clearance (current) and Working With Children Check.
