About the Role
Aboriginal Education Officers provide assistance to teachers, Aboriginal students and their families to support improved learning, welfare and well-being outcomes for Aboriginal students.

Coffs Harbour Public School is on the beautiful mid-north coast of NSW and has an experienced staff and we encourage and support new and aspiring leaders. Collaboration and high quality systems are fundamental to our school.
Our school has an enrolment of 492 students of which 15% are of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and 49% of students have a background where English is an additional language or dialect. Our school has 19 mainstream classes and five special education classes.
Our school celebrates its diversity. We have strong partnerships with our local AECG and cultural awareness tutors. Our Aboriginal Education Officer will work closely with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Learning and Support Teacher to continue developing strong partnerships and academic achievement with our school community.
