ABOUT THE ROLE
TAFE NSW is seeking a Permanent Full-time Teacher of Horticultural to deliver a combination of predominately online connected learning with some face-to-face delivery. Working within the Primary Industries and Natural Resources teaching section for TAFE Digital based at Strathfield, we have invested proudly in technology that will allow us to scale up our capacity for training across the state.
With dynamic new online learning virtual classroom models, combining teaching excellence with technology to deliver world-class skills to learners across NSW, this role offers you a chance to evolve to meet the changing needs of industry.
The role is responsible for a range of activities, which supports learners, and enhances the student learning experience. As a professional educator you will skill the workforce of tomorrow by constructing and guiding the educative process with a mixture of online workshops and classroom delivery.
In the role, you will use your industry experience to deliver educational programs and facilitate practical learning, enabling students to achieve their desired outcomes.
This position is full time hours with a salary package between $96,158 - $114,039. Dependent on business needs, the role offers Flexible Work Arrangements, with the option to work three (3) days from the Strathfield Campus and two (2) days from home. ABOUT YOU
Keeping pace with rapidly emerging skill areas with specialist knowledge requires you to be highly flexible and adaptable.
It’s crucially important that we are equipping our learners with the skills that industry needs. You must have strong computer skills, especially with SharePoint document libraries, MS Teams and general systems knowledge to be able to assist with the delivery of course content to students via the various training platforms.
It’s important you understand current and emerging industry skills needs so TAFE NSW can be responsive to industry and customers. Your understanding will ensure the training you deliver aligns with in-demand and priority areas.

To be successful in this role you must:
Hold the minimum vocational qualification in Certificate III in Horticulture, or equivalent.
Have a minimum of five (5) years relevant and post-qualification experience in the industry relevant to your qualification. With the ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
Hold the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or the TAE40110 qualification with the required additional upgrade units, or higher-level qualification in adult education.
