Transfer EOI, Primary Teacher - Nirimba State Primary School

Eligibility 

To be eligible to apply you must be a permanent teacher with the Department of Education and have a current application for transfer in the 2022-2023 teacher transfer process which includes a comment on screen 15 of your application indicating your interest in Nirimba State Primary School. Applicants that do not meet this requirement will be automatically excluded.

Nirimba State Primary School is located in the suburb of Nirimba which is part of the Caloundra electorate located at the southern end of the Sunshine Coast. The school provides a high-quality educational service to students and families of Nirimba and surrounding suburbs.

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the current foundation staff members of this new state primary school that opened its doors for the first time in 2022. Nirimba State Primary School is located at 100 Park Avenue, Nirimba. The school currently has approximately 160 students and caters for students in Prep to Year 6.

Areas of expertise that will be an advantage including a combination of the following:

• ICT Integration: Nirimba State Primary School uses an Apple Platform for teaching and learning in the classroom. Integration of ICT into the classroom and experience in 1-to-1 iPad programs is highly beneficial.
• STEAM: Students are taught all five strands of the arts – three by a specialist teacher. Experience with STEAM or Arts integration is desirable.
• Sustainability: There is an established sustainability precinct in the school that is used to engage students in agriculture and science.
• Sport: Do you have a particular strength in sport? This is also a major focus for our school as we continue to establish sporting hubs as part of a broader community network.

  • How do you implement the Australian Curriculum in your classroom?  What approach do you take?
